Nous avons le plaisir de vous informer de la création de la « Librairie Résistances » à Paris, qui met à votre disposition :
– Plusieurs milliers d’essais, de romans et de DVD
– Une salle de lecture et de recherche, avec un espace multimédia
– Une salle d’expositions, de conférences et de projection de films
Cette nouvelle librairie, spécialisée dans l’histoire des mouvements de libération et de tous les combats pour la dignité humaine à travers le monde, est un espace qui traduit la volonté de dire :
– NON au « choc des civilisations », aux divisions ethniques, au colonialisme et au racisme
– OUI au droit des peuples à disposer d’eux-mêmes, à la justice et à la solidarité, à la résistance contre toutes les formes d’oppression, notamment celle subie depuis des décennies par le peuple palestinien.
La Palestine occupée est en effet l’un des symboles les plus criants à la surface de la planète de la négation du droit international et des droits de l’homme, auxquels se substitue la loi du plus fort. Une situation très dangereuse que nous souhaitons changer avec tous ceux qui font le pari de l’humanité contre la barbarie.
La culture est une force qui doit nous aider à le gagner. C’est pourquoi, avec l’aide d’artistes palestiniens parmi lesquels Kamal Boullata, Hani Zu’rob, Naseer Arafat, Najwan Darwish, Alia Rayyan, Nathalie Handal, Muthanna Al-Qadi, Steve Sabella, Taysir Batniji, qui ont accepté de nous apporter leur concours dans ce domaine, la Librairie Résistances s’emploiera à promouvoir les talents palestiniens à travers le monde, en s’attachant à montrer au travers de la littérature et d’autres formes artistiques (cinéma, peinture, photographie..) que la culture palestinienne, est bien vivante, et que loin de s’opposer à d’autres cultures, elle vibre de multiples influences et particularités, comme s’est employé à l’illustrer tout au long de sa vie le regretté Edward Saïd.
Algérie, Vietnam, Afrique du Sud, lutte contre le fascisme… Palestine, Irak, lutte contre l’exclusion… Les nombreux combats menés à travers le monde, hier comme aujourd’hui, sont riches d’enseignements. Ils permettent de comprendre tout ce qui nous rapproche, les liens qui unissent les citoyens du monde entier, les différentes cultures et civilisations.
Dans un monde où l’information objective est une denrée de plus en plus rare, la Librairie Résistances offre à chacun la possibilité de juger en fonction des faits.

Specialised in the history of liberation movements and of all battles for human dignity across the world, this new space brings to life a wish to say :
– NO to the « clash of civilisations », to ethnic divisions, to colonialism and to racism
– YES to the right of peoples to be free to be themselves, to justice and solidarity, to resistance against all forms of oppression, especially that suffered for dozens of years by the people of Palestine.
Palestine having been occupied for so many years is effectively one of the most obvious symbols, on the surface of the planet, of the refusal of international law and human rights, replaced by reliance on force. An extrermely dangerous situation which we would like to change together with all those who place their hope in humanity against barbarity.
Culture is a force which should help us to win. This is why, with the help of Palestinian artists such as Kamal Boullata, Hani Zu’rob, Naseer Arafat, Najwan Darwish, Alia Rayyan, Nathalie Handal, Muthanna Al-Qadi, Steve Sabella, Taysir Batniji, who were willing to advice us in this field, the Résistances Bookshop will promote Palestinian talents all over the world, and will try to show through literature and other arts (cinema, paintings, photos..) that Palestinian culture is quite alive and does not oppose itself to other cultures, but vibrates with many influences and specificities, as Edward Saïd kept explaining during his whole life.
