Vaste mouvement ,qui regroupe des syndicalistes, des travailleurs, des chômeurs des femmes, des étudiants, « United Front », associé au plus grand syndicat sud-africain, celui de la métallurgie (NUMSA), appelle la FIFA à expulser Israël.
Communiqué du Comité National Provisoire de Travail (NWC) du « FRONT UNI » – réunion des 22 et 23 mars 2015 :
« ÇA SUFFIT !
APPEL À L’EXPULSION D’ISRAËL DE LA FIFA !
– 1. Vu les mesures de plus en plus génocidaires d’Israël contre les Palestiniens de la bande de Gaza et de la Cisjordanie, son traitement raciste, et son refus d’accorder l’entière égalité des droits entre tous les citoyens aux Palestiniens qui sont encore en Israël, qui se traduisent par une guerre contre les footballeurs palestiniens, dont certains ont été tués, blessés ou emprisonnés, par de violentes attaques contre les fans de football palestiniens et par la destruction des stades de football,
– 2. Vu l’adhésion d’Israël à la FIFA, ses matches à l’intérieur du système de l’UEFA, ses rencontres de l’année contre le Pays de Galles (les 28 mars et 6 septembre), l’appel au boycott de ces rencontres de la part des organisations de solidarité européennes et la mobilisation au siège de la FIFA à Zurich (les 28 et 29 mars) où l’on demande l’expulsion d’Israël de cet organisme,
– 3. Nous, membres du FRONT UNI, avons décidé :
a) de soutenir le boycott de ces prochaines rencontres et l’appel à la FIFA pour l’expulsion d’Israël, dans l’esprit de ses principes : « Stop au Racisme dans le Foot »,
b) de nous adresser à NUMSA (l’Union nationale des métallurgistes sud-africains), ainsi qu’aux autres syndicats et aux organismes de solidarité d’Afrique du Sud, y compris la campagne BDS et ses organismes de coordination qui soutiennent la campagne internationale,
c) d’engager l’Union Sud-Africaine des Footballeurs (SAFPU) à apporter leur soutien pour l’appel à l’expulsion d’Israël.
d) de nous adresser à la SAFA (la Fédération sud-africaine de Football) et de lui demander de se joindre à d’autres associations au sein de la FIFA, afin de proposer l’expulsion d’Israël au prochain conseil général de cet organisme.

CALL FOR THE EXPULSION OF ISRAEL FROM FIFA
The Interim NWC of the UNITED FRONT (meeting on 22-23 March, 2015)
– 1. Noting that within Israel’s incremental genocidal policy and measures against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and West Bank; and its racist treatment and denial of full and equal rights of the Palestinian people within Israel, is a virtual war against Palestinian football players, who have been killed, injured and imprisoned, vicious attacks on Palestinian football fans; and the destruction of football stadia through criminal acts of war;
– 2. Further noting Israel’s membership of FIFA and its playing of matches within the EUFA system; its fixtures this year against Wales (28 March and 6 September) and the call by solidarity organisations in Europe for a boycott of these fixtures; and the mobilisation at FIFA headquarters in Zurich (28-29 March) where Israel’s expulsion from that body is being demanded;
– 3. We of the UNITED FRONT resolve:
a) To support the boycott of these upcoming fixtures and the call on FIFA to expel Israel in the spirit of its « Keep Racism out of Football » principles;
b) To approach NUMSA and other trade unions and Palestine solidarity groups in South Africa, including the BDS campaign and co-ordinating bodies in support of the international campaign;
c) To engage the South African Football Players Union (SAFPU) to get their support for the call to expel Israel.
d) Approach SAFA and appeal to it to join with other associations within FIFA to move at the next General Council of that body for Israel’s expulsion.
