L’année 2018 aura été particulièrement dure pour le peuple palestinien, et nous souhaitons vivement que 2019 lui apporte justice et liberté.
La participation de Trump au vol des terres palestiniennes, son transfert d’ambassade à Jérusalem, ont donné un chèque en blanc aux brigands à la tête du régime israélien pour amplifier la colonisation, la répression, et l’étranglement des Palestiniens, avec en plus la suppression des crédits US pour l’UNRWA, l’agence de l’ONU pour les réfugiés, et la suppression quasi-généralisée de tous financements états-uniens.
Mais cette année aura également été marquée par une résistance spectaculaire des Palestiniens, qui a amené une grande partie de l’opinion publique mondiale à manifester son aversion envers le régime de l’apartheid et ses méthodes barbares.
Les Marches du Retour, démarrées le 30 mars dernier à Gaza, sur les « zones tampon », avec des dizaines de milliers de manifestants non armés, enfermés derrière des barbelés, assassinés et amputés, alors qu’ils réclament la liberté et l’application de leurs droits, ont notamment marqué les esprits.
On a vu à l’oeuvre le terrorisme israélien qui a frappé indistinctement des enfants, des handicapés, des femmes, des soignants comme des journalistes.
Depuis 10 mois, les Palestiniens ne mettent pas leurs vies en péril pour rien, comme l’a dit Hillel Karmi, le jeune Israélien qui a passé 107 jours derrière les barreaux pour refus de servir dans l’armée israélienne, et qui s’est déclaré « inspiré par les jeunes Palestiniens qui organisent ces marches ».
En Cisjordanie aussi, la résistance n’est pas passée inaperçue. La gifle, à un soldat de l’occupation, de la jeune Ahed Tamimi, du village de Nabi Saleh, et son emprisonnement, ont également frappé l’imagination.
Ce régime colonial peut emprisonner les enfants à tour de bras, les torturer, démolir leurs maisons, leurs écoles, la résistance se poursuit, héroïque, dans toute la Palestine. Et ceci malgré l’abjecte « coordination sécuritaire » entre l’occupant et des bureaucrates corrompus qui s’accrochent à leurs prébendes.
Israël a été amené, en 2018, à refuser l’entrée à 11 000 voyageurs (record battu !), dont de nombreux Juifs américains, parce qu’ils appellent au boycott de produits exportés par Israël, et venant largement des colonies, toutes illégales.
Malgré la diffamation, la répression, toute l’énergie, l’argent et les manigances du ministère israélien chargé de lutter contre le boycott, chacun(e) assiste — et c’est désormais encore plus clair avec le vote d’une loi institutionnalisant l’apartheid, en juillet dernier — à une « racialisation » sans fard de l’idéologie israélienne.
C’est pourquoi le boycott, y compris culturel et sportif, de l’occupant israélien, appelé de ses voeux par la société palestinienne, ne peut que continuer son ascension irrésistible, comme pour l’Afrique du Sud de l’apartheid,
A chacun(e) d’apporter sa pierre à l’édifice !
Nous avons la chance de voir apparaître en France, avec les Gilets Jaunes, de nombreuses consciences qui s’éveillent et refusent l’injustice. C’est un grand encouragement pour nous, car refuser les inégalités criantes, l’intox, et la répression, ici, être amenés à échanger au lieu de rester fragmentés chacun dans son coin et sa galère, c’est une opportunité extraordinaire pour nous qui militons dans le même sens.
On ne lâche rien !

The year 2018 was especially hard for the Palestinian People and we sincerely hope that 2019 will bring them Justice and Freedom.
Trump’s collaboration in stealing Palestinian lands and his transfer of the American embassy to Jerusalem, gave a blank cheque to the thieves ruling over the Israeli regime, in order to intensify the colonisation, the repression and the strangulation of the Palestinians, through stopping the U.S. funding of UNRWA – the UN Refugee Agency – and most of the U.S. funding.
Most of all, this past year was also special for the spectacular Resistance of the Palestinians, which led a large section of the world’s public to express abhorrence for the Apartheid regime and its barbarous ways.
The Return Marches made a special impact, starting on 30 March in Gaza, in the “Buffer Zone”, when tens of thousands of unarmed protesters, trapped behind barbed wire, have been assassinated and/or amputated, while demanding freedom and the respect of their rights.
We have seen Israeli terrorism in action, blindly hitting children, the disabled, women, health workers or journalists.
The Palestinians have not endangered their lives for nothing during the past ten months, as Hillel Karmi said. He is the young Israeli who spent 107 days behind bars, for refusing to serve in the Israeli army, declaring that he had been “inspired by the young Palestinians who have been organising the marches”.
In the West Bank too, resistance has revealed itself. The slapping of an Occupation soldier by the young Ahed Tamimi from the village of Nabi Saleh, and her jailing, have also captured everybody’s imagination.
The colonial regime is free to relentlessly jail children, torture them, demolish their houses, their schools, but the heroic resistance continues in the whole of Palestine, in spite of the despicable “security coordination” between the Occupier and the corrupt bureaucrats who won’t give up their stipends.
In 2018, Israel felt obliged to stop 11,000 travellers from entering the country – a new record – among those, many American Jews who have called for the boycott of products exported by Israel, mainly coming from the settlements which are all illegal.
In spite of the defamation, repression, high energy, money and scheming from the Israeli ministry responsible for fighting the boycott, we all note the obvious “racialisation” of Israeli ideology – which is even more visible after the passing of a law institutionalising Apartheid, last July.
That is why the BDS movement, including cultural and sports boycott of the Israeli Occupier, wished-for by the Palestinian People, will continue its unstoppable rise, in the same way as in Apartheid South Africa.
Each of us must add a building block!
In France, we are lucky to see, with the “Gilets Jaunes”, the awakening of conscience and the refusal of injustice. We are greatly encouraged: Refusing here the obvious inequalities, brainwashing and repression, driven to exchange instead of staying apart, each of us in a miserable corner, this is an amazing opportunity for us, as we defend the same rights.
