Un événement unique, incroyable : malgré l’encerclement, le blocus et les violences quotidiennes infligées par l’armée israélienne, la ville de Naplouse organise, du 19 au 21 septembre prochain, un festival économique et culturel. (voir ci-dessous présentation en anglais)
Un total de 159 bénévoles sont à l’oeuvre pour accueillir 10 000 participants pendant ces 3 jours, sur l’esplanade de l’université Al-Najjah et présenter l’ensemble des projets économiques et culturels auxquels se sont attelés de nombreuses associations palestiniennes, en dépit de l’occupation et de l’enfermement.
Ainsi, à l’initiative de DARNA, maison des associations pour l’initiative des jeunes et des citoyens à Naplouse, industriels, producteurs agricoles, artisans et artistes, vont échanger avec le public : soit plus de 60 exposants du secteur privé, 58 associations palestiniennes, 35 troupes de musiques, cirques et danses … et la grande Chanteuse Palestinienne RIM AL BANNA.
Et chaque jour, de 11h00 à 13h00, des débats se dérouleront sur plusieurs thèmes, tels que « Le marché Palestinien, les difficultés et les opportunités », « L’état des échanges commerciaux France-Palestine », « Introduction au commerce équitable en Palestine et questions de labels et normes », « Bilan de plusieurs expériences théâtrales et musicales »…

Festival Nablus we love you September 19 – 21, 2006
On the campus of An Najah National University
This festival which is an act of refusal of the closure imposed on the city of Nablus, the economic and academic capital of Palestine, constitutes a crossroad between the culture, and economics.
We want to present this real economic and artistic disposition in the form of a space in which the industrial and agricultural sectors are side by side, a space open for handicrafts, culture and the exchange between the professionals and the public.
We will host more than 60 private sector exhibitors, 58 Palestinian associations, 35 troupes of music, circus and danse and the well known Palestinian singer Rim Al Banna.
» Nablus we love you », is the big economic and cultural event of the West Bank which pronounces as an economic and cultural space for resistance against closure and against occupation.
More than 10000 visitors are expected.

1st day: Situation of Palestinian industry.

– The state of the trade between Palestine and France: the French economic mission
– Law of the businesses and Guarantee schemes in Palestine: Bir Zait University
2nd day: Opening towards Fare trade
– Introduction to fare trade in Palestine and the question of labels and standards: Oxfam, Palestinian Fare trade organization.
– Presentation of the Experience of Sounboula, Darna, UAWC.,Altereco….
– Marketing, Standards and distribution networks: Palestinian Center for measurements and Normes, Paltrade and + NGO frank. (Andine, Artisans du monde ou altereco….).
3rd day: Culture as an industry
– Introduction to the Cultural industry by Yabousse productions and the music Department at Beir Zait University
– The Experiences of Al Rowwad Theatre, Kamanjati, Maan TV, Street Theater (« Check-Point »)
Speakers will also deal with the various forms of solidarity with Palestine in the present context of economic strangulation of Palestinian territories by the occupier
